Photography Holidays

Photographportugal offers the most flexible photographic holidays available in terms of choice of dates, duration and holiday content. We know that photographers prefer to concentrate on capturing great images with no distractions, and that's why we take care of all the details for you.  We'll advise you on flights, meet you at the airport, arrange your accommodation, provide all your meals, take you to outstanding locations using 4x4 transport and give you as much help and advice as you need to enjoy your photography to the full.  All you have to do is choose your arrival date, decide how long you want to stay and then e-mail us - we'll do all the rest. 

South West Portugal is a superb setting for landscape and travel photography.  There are beautiful  locations right on our doorstep in Bordeira, especially at the coastline where the almost deserted beaches of fine sand alternate with rugged cliffs and rock formations, constantly under siege by huge Atlantic rollers.  The local villages offer endless opportunities for detail shots of architectural features, cobbled lanes of traditional cottages and perhaps the chance to take some portraits of the locals, whether candid or posed.  The rural landscape is a mix of wooded hills and undulating cropland, peppered with farmsteads, vineyards and even the occasional windmill.

A little further afield are the rolling plains of the Alentejo, the mountain villages of Monchique, the fishing ports of the south coast and further inland,  old walled towns with Moorish castles atop the hills.  In fact, there are photo opportunities around virtually every corner.  Have a look at the gallery pages and you'll see some of what's on offer.

The minimum stay on our photography holidays is 3 nights and we'll work with you on a one to one basis. We know that not everyone is into photography, so non - participating partners are welcome and we can advise on a wide range of local activities including golf, riding, walking, surfing and cycling.  We can also arrange car hire if required.
