Accommodation

Bordeira is a beautiful conservation village situated about 3km from the Atlantic coast in the Sao Vicente Natural Park in the Western Algarve.  Situated close to the end of the Algarve Way  long distance trail, this is a favourite area for walkers, surfers and other outdoor enthusiasts for whom we can also organise either b&b or rental accommodation.

The village tumbles down a hillside wooded with cork, eucalyptus, wild strawberry and cistus and on the valley floor are groves of orange trees, stands of bamboo and vegetable gardens tended by the very friendly local people.

Our house is a traditional Portuguese vivenda on three levels, overlooking the village square opposite Senhor Jose Carlos's little cafe, the only commercial premises in the village!

Ground floor

Living room with comfy sofas, lots of books and satellite TV so that you can watch the UK weather forecast while you're sipping a glass of vinho verde or port after a long sunny day's photography.

Office with imaging suite for you to download and work on all those stunning images you took today, or you can simply surf the net to your heart's content.

Breakfasting kitchen where we squeeze loads of fresh oranges and ply you with warm croissants and other goodies every morning.  We might even treat you to our special Portuguese bacon butties now and then and of course you can help yourself to tea, coffee and soft drinks at any time, day or night.

First Floor

Guest Bedroom 1: a large double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the village square and a spacious en-suite bathroom.

Guest Bedroom 2: a smaller double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the village square and a large private shower room.

Second Floor

Sun room filled with geraniums, bougainvilleas, succulents and cacti, leading to the roof terrace where we sometimes dine in the evenings, with views over the village to the surrounding hills.
